I’m in the same boat with 12.7.1. Way too many projects that are still in progress to upgrade to 13. I use virtually the same process you do in regards to exporting for dvd, but I haven’t experienced the memory errors since 12.7. I’m running 10.5.5 on a 8 core mac pro. Sorry I can’t offer any more insight.

I had this very same problem with 12.7 I believe that 12.7.1 fixed the problem. If I remember correctly Wick mentioned that they could not always reproduce it, but I definitely had the issue.

Will projects that get worked on under V13 be able to go back to 12.7.1? Just in case.

I may be wrong here, but with my limited FCP experience, my xdcam-hd files had to be rendered into my fcp project as well, apple just didn’t use the sony transfer utility. As far as length of imports go, I imported 32min 1080 / 23.98 footage in about 10 minutes. The speed may be affected by your cpu, I’m not sure about that. I’m on a 8 core 3.2ghz mac pro.

As a long time Media100 customer, it’s great to see this product advancing again. The last year alone has really shown a commitment by Boris to getting this suite back to the top. Keep up the good work!

I have this setup on a new mac pro, and it’s working flawlessly. You can even install the Media100 codecs on to your FCP partition for easier transition between the systems.

It works well if everything above a/b is rendered. The issue I’m having is that when everything is rendered, it includes the fades, so when I change a shot in AE you can see it in the transition. It almost works perfectly unrendered. The fades in/out on the time line transfer to AE, but the keyframes are in the wrong spots on the clip. This would be a wonderful fix if possible!
