Hi Ben, you could use CC Cylinder, offset the Rotation X and keyframe Rotation Y. (You may need to do one arrow and then duplicate and re-position it if the X rotation becomes too extreme?).

Hi Vitor, you could use one solid for each color – place them under the text. Select the top color layer and use the Rectangle Tool and draw all the boxes, then use the Pen Tool and make a large rectangle around them all (put a couple of vertices along the top so that if you need to have the same color on the same line you can manipulate them) set this mask to Subtract. Make a keyframe on its Mask Path setting at the beginning, right click on the keyframe and select “Toggle Hold Keyframe” from the popup. Go to the time the first word appears and move the mask down so that you see the first word highlighted (you will get a square keyframe which is a Hold keyframe – so the mask will jump down), then go the next time and do the same thing. Do this with all the colors.

Hi Thomas, really depends on what sort of graffiti on what sort of wall. Spray on brick? Marker on chipboard? And if the logo is the same style? I would probably create the graffiti and logo in Photoshop (better paint styles and tools). Then it depends what you mean by “realistically” move and pool (I’ve never seen that in real life) however if you have a vision in your head you might look up “morphing” and see if that does it for you. There are programs which do it, or you can do it within After Effects.

Hi Bobby, how exactly are you drawing? If you use the Stroke effect you can draw the final shape path and then have it draw on over time – or do you have a particular look that you are going for?

Hi Saud, After Effects isn’t a program designed for video editing, which is why why you are having problems. You need to use an NLE (non linear editing) program. If you are part of Adobe CC then Premiere Pro is available as part of your package – and it can link in with After Effects for special shots. If you aren’t part of CC then you might want to look at Davinci Resolve which is free:
