    Hi folks, first i’m sorry for my bad english…

    So, did a video when some words was highlighted:

    But, I did this putting solid after solid and animating using keyframes. I want to know if have a better and faster way to do this? I can do something to automate this work?

    Hi Vitor, you could use one solid for each color – place them under the text. Select the top color layer and use the Rectangle Tool and draw all the boxes, then use the Pen Tool and make a large rectangle around them all (put a couple of vertices along the top so that if you need to have the same color on the same line you can manipulate them) set this mask to Subtract. Make a keyframe on its Mask Path setting at the beginning, right click on the keyframe and select “Toggle Hold Keyframe” from the popup. Go to the time the first word appears and move the mask down so that you see the first word highlighted (you will get a square keyframe which is a Hold keyframe – so the mask will jump down), then go the next time and do the same thing. Do this with all the colors.
