Hi. Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean. The ‘light source’ is the physical light that is casting the light. Perhaps if you explain your problem in detail someone might be able to help more. The only thing that I can think of is that you want a layer in front of the lit object not to be affected by the light – in which case make sure the layer is 3D, twirl open its Properties, go to Material Options and set Accepts Lights to off.

Hi Areej. If you have your square with a fill then it will act like that. Remove the fill and you should be able to see the stroke works properly.

Hi Max. I would be tempted to start with Fractal Noise and add the Bezier Warp effect to get the shape. As a starting point you might want to look at Animation Presets/Backgrounds/Curtains.

Hi Emma, you could also look at the Liquify effect which can be keyframed.

Hi Remko, have you tried dragging the clip onto the “New Composition” button, it should open a comp with the right settings!?

Hi, I usually add the contrast and other necessary adjustments by adding them in the precomp, not the main comp. Is that the issue?

  • Hi Eli, I would try with the CC Simple Wire Removal effect and use several instances. You might even be able to manually keyframe the beginning and end points of the effect as the shot pans.

Hi. Have a look at the Roughen Edges Effect and play with the Border settings (among others).

Hi Esther, your question is a bit confusing. Do you want it to stay in the same position and rotate from its centre? If so use the pan behind tool and move the anchor point to the centre of your object and use the rotation setting. If you want the object to rotate around the screen have the anchor point at the centre of your screen, offset the object on it’s X or Y position settings (which will move it away from the anchor point) and then use the rotations settings. Is that it?
