[Sean Thomas] “here’s a lot of irony when people complain for years about a FCP upgrade and then they get it …… they complain.

Yes we wanted a FCP upgrade not a iMovie upgrade with the Final cut name slapped on

[Errol Lazare] “I might just save my money and edit my $2,000,000 feature with imovie. Seems like a good call.”

I have nothing against iMovie if you use and it gets the job done, why not? I have a problem with apple Discontinuing FCS/Macpros/Pro Apps for iMovie X.

[Craig Seeman] “ly I think a large portion of the “haters” refuse to believe a new way might actually be better/faster”

Its a 64 bit iMovie, why can you not see that…that doesn’t mean its a bad program, but to KILL FCS for it was ridiculous

[Allen Cordell] “show me something sick edited in fcpx. it’s the only thing that’ll convince me.”

Well I mean this really isn’t a good argument….I mean you mostly can’t tell what anything is edited in unless is your using AVID only plug ins or FCP Fonts and such, I have a hard time telling anyway. But Your taking 2 cars….A pinto and a Corvette and asking witch will get to B from A better, they both do the job but one is nicer and more upscale. I personally wont cut in FCP-X freelance wise because it is iMovie Pro and I dont care what anyone else says it is. at it core its a 64 bit iMovie, and Ill treat is as such.

What they Did is mess up by calling it Final Cut Pro, and Killing all the other apps that people had mastered, im willing to bet if they just released it as iMovie 10.0 and told us they were discontinuing FCS altogether the reaction would have been much softer. But instead they Call it FCP so JOW Smith can feel special.

July 12, 2011 at 8:34 pm in reply to: dual configuration x2 GfX cards

I wanna have Avid on 2 monitors, and output a third Window for Video Preview on my LCD, and The I/O Express is 1,500 Dollars, and not worth it for me to do that. ITs cheaper for me to just buy another GFX cards to get that thirst monitor out.
