If this works, and I’m trying to create a dual boot system, would I then install the OSX files on this drive as well?

Does that mean I have to boot with the OSX disc and then install that info on the blank hard drive? It IS a segate drive, what if I put that into the first drive bay, and the drive that came with the mac and works into the seconds drive bay? Any thoughts? I’d rather not buy a new drive (again).

Thanks but there’s nothing on the back of the G5. As a matter of fact, we just bought a G5 for a corporate client and they do not have an antenna on theirs either.

Yes I located both cables…I actually got a replacement for the other reburbished Mac. I’ll check to see if they are connected on the mother board.

For the airport extreme, yes the system profiler sees the car, but the card does not find my network. I can configure it, nothing is grayed out, but the strange part is I see references to an antenna that just does not exist in the Mac.

I’m building my suite in my (former) living room in my house, and thus there is no phone line. I was hoping to connect the Quad to my home wireless network. Some further investigating indicates that the G5 needs a Blue tooth airport card that must be professionally installed.

I’m wondering if there’s any other option.

I had a similar request from an event I shot. I offered the presenter a burned-in time code window on a DVD for $100. I suggested that the burned in time code window will allow him to select any soundbites he wishes to use in an edited video. I’d be happy to edit that video for him. Turned into an editing gig for about $2,000!

If they are not interested, offer them the footage at a rate that seems worth your while. I would allso check with your corporate client first, since they paid for the shoot.

I think it’s just a bad computer. Apple is taking it back and will repair it. That’s frustrating as we’re now looking at another few weeks before I have the computer available for editing. I don’t understand why Apple just won’t send a replacement and take this refurbished one back. Doesnb’t seem like good customer service to me. At least they were friendly!

I did put the fan in right, and the computer does the same thing (nothing) with and without the RAM I installed.
