I get the “Application has unexpectedly quit” message and the Bug Reporter Opens automatically. I do send the report to M100.
To my other question, is there a way I can send you a video clip showing what happens when I try to fade from black to create a web video or a DVD? Thanks.

Floh…I’m rendering and aquiring via Media 100i lossless. Wouldn’t that make them the same? Woul exporting by reference cause a problem? How can I make sure they are in the same color space for quicktime?

What I did was buy Media 100 HDe. With the Aja OEM hardware, am also able to use FCP as well. Tat allows me to edit on Media 100 as I know the system, and also learn FCP. You need a second bootable hard drive for FCP on the same computer. So far I’m happy with the results!

Thanks Arthur, I’ll give that a try. All other dissolves work perfectly…Just these fades from black.

I thought the show was wonderful, but like others I didn’t care for the continous pats on the back they were giving themselves. I also didn’t care for S. Weaver’s narration. I found it flat and boring. Perhaps something like a James Earl Jones voice would have been more powerful.
As far as too many commercials…that’s why I love TIVO!v Great slomo shots though

Good point. but having worked in video production within major corporations for 20 years, I can tell you that unless you are made the director of a department via job grade, salary and bonus structure…you can’t be called a director. The last thing HR in a corporation understands is video production.

I think there’s danger with a client who “thinks” they know video because they were an exec in a production company. There was no chance to get everyone to one location, as they wanted everyone shot intheir actual environment. So no way to lower the price.
They didn’t need samples, they had a script. As a matter of fact, their first request included that they would just rent our Betacam, mic, and lights and shoot it themselves.
I’m pretty pleased that they went elsewhere. This had bad client written all over it.

Directors in a corporate environment have that title at a fairly high level in the corporation. It depends on your job grade withing the company. Technician tends to be a low on the totem pole position. You may want to consider Video Specialist, Video Associate, Manager/Video, Video Production Manager, Video Supervisor.
