Look at Smartsound. It’s pretty cool. Also I like Music Bakery. It really depends on the type of music you prefer.

What you’ve been doing is illegal. It doesn’t matter who you’re editing the video for. There are lots of music libraries out there to choose from. Find one that works for the style of shows you edit. Do a google search.

It works now Walter. Something must have been hung up. I restarted my computer and it worked. Thanks for your quick reply.

Perhaps you can help me with another problem. I’ve cut a 4 minute show and when trying to output from FCP to windows media Via Flip for Mac it gets to about 62% then FCP hangs up. I get the spinning wheel of pizza. Any thoughts?

Where can you find actors for $83.00 per day? You editing rates seem low as well. $60 per hour? Where can you get a 3-person crew with equipment for $1500 per day? As producer are you going to be involved in the edit? Is there any pre-production planning build it? $1,500 seems cheap.

I really need to know if this is something I can do, or how to properly advise my client

    Hi Curtis,

Like I said, I know how to shoot green screen, but what’s the steps needed for a client to be able to put this video on their website?

What format do they need? Quicktime? Flash?
What do their web folks need to do?
    What deliverables would you suggest?
What can I offer them with a FCP system?

I’m lost on the purpose of this video. What are you trying to accomplish? What are you hoping your viewing audience will take away from this video? What should they feel, learn, remember?

You also need better shots/camera work. Most of the shots here are wide, with multiple people in each shot. Consider that close-ups of people can create emotions such as excitement, warmth, motivation, fun, etc. Your video looks like an edited slide show. There’s really no reason to use video with that type of footage. Your final video could have been better if you used all stills.

Secondly, does anybody care about the people in the video? Why use those shots? This video just looks like you found several shots and decided to cut it together. No rhyme or reason.

I’d prefer not to receive unsolicited demo reels or resumes. It’s a waste of time for both you and the prospect.

Frankly you should contact prospective employers first and see if they would like to see your demo and resume. Ask them how they wish to receive your materials.

Sure. Would you prefer to pay a young college student to paint the interior of your house for $200, or would you rather hire a professional for $1,000? Will you get the same results?
Would you have a college kid cut your hair before your wedding or big job interview? Or would you go to a professional.

If someone wants a poor quality video of their meeting, let them bring in their own home camcorder. Don’t take advantage of a kid for your own gain.
