Usually just powder will do the trick. Try that first. Also, I always have the talent take some paper towels and just wipe their face. That removed lots of oil, and also the shine.

Of course the best alternative is a make-up artist. They usually help the corp interviewee feel like a “star” and be more open to having make-up applied.

I also explain that my job is to make them look great on camera. I feel some make-up will help.

I had that issue once. It turned out that my sequence was set to auto render, and the multiclip was rendering before I switched angles.

If you’re on a mac just copy the file from the activity window on your mac, and paste it in the download window. Down load it and then bring it into Mpeg Streamclip and convert it to whatever kind of file you wish to edit. Simple.

We also have a Fed EX account. We go on-line, insert the info and print an 8/2 X11 sheet. We fold it in half, since only half of it has the info. We use a clear pouch provided by Fedex, and attach it to the box or envelope. We can then drop it in a fed ex drop box or bring it to a local Fed EX store like PakMail.

    Very easy.

  • Michael, Since I “Insist”?!?

IMHO, the best sources for information are the folks here on the Cow. I’ve learned a great deal fom folks here! I know that you feel SXS is the ONLY option, but obviously many people choose the SDHC option. That’s the info I’m looking for.

  • Hi Marek,

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it.

I AM doing my own research. That includes asking other EX1/3 owners what they are using successfully.
What better research is there than that? I’m hoping others will relay their thoughts here.

What do YOU use? and why?

  • Thanks Craig and Marek. May I ask what you guys are using and why? Consider this part of my research.

Also what about upgrading to 1.25 Is it something I can do? Or do I need to send the camera to Sony?

  • Hi Kevin,

My concerns is that there are many other SDHC Cards and adapters that many folks are using. Sony is more expensive, and I really have not found anyone else suggesting them. I’m not using these cards for “an emergency”, I’m using them as the main cards for recording. I appreciate the fact that you’re helping me, but I was hoping to hear from a few others as well with additional viewpoints.

Also, from what I understand, if you update the firmware to 1.2 you can use 32GB class 10 cards, or even 64GB cards. But do I upgrade myself? Bring it to a Sony authorized repair shop, or send the camera to Sony?

Thanks for you answers and suggestions. What about this for the adapters:

Would this work? If so, what SDHC Cards would you suggest. I’m seeing mixed reviews on Transend cards what about SanDisk? I’m looking at 16GB Cards.
