1] Canon XF300: CONSTANT Bitrate
2] Canon SX60hs: Does have a Variation of Bitrate from CLIP to CLIP, with a MAX of 25Mb/s and an AVB 23Mb/s, but yours hits 57Mb/s.I reckon it’s the your combination of VBR; the high value 57Mb/s; Vegas plus your PC has to deal with those rates that’s messing with you.

Hi George. I noticed Philip’s MediaInfo which reveals the original MEDIA has Variable BitRate (VBR):
This isn’t Variable BitRate for Encoding, its the VBR embedded into the Media itself. Then it’s the Maths that VP is having to do to keep up both with Preview and then encoding. I try and keep things simple to give VP a chance. So, I shoot with CBR whilst others maybe capturing Screen VBR. My invitation is to use CBR Media and see if he gets the same issues.
Does that help George?

OK, two things you should consider:
1] Unckeck your GPU.
2] Your Media has a Variable BitRate.
Do a new SEPARATE Project with your GPU off and NEW Media which is CONSTANT BitRate.

[James Trun] “The problem is, the rendered video in the preview window has red, blue and green transparent streaks running across the video diagonally, throughout the whole video.”
Hi James! Is this your first post on the Forum? Any way I have not heard or seen this. Please post a ScreenGrab.

February 1, 2019 at 2:42 pm in reply to: Issues with Video FX when rendering on VEGAS pro 14[Milla Pulkka] “I am beyond clueless as to what has happened, and I’ve searched all over the web for a solution, but it seems that nobody else is having this issue. “
Hi Milla, and as this your first Post to this Forum, welcome.
Something has definitely gone astray. Have you unchecked GPU Acceleration? If you have then, firstly, confirm you’re running the last Build of VP14 and if not download it, but do not install it, wait. Secondly do a Factory Reset of VP14 and test again. If that is unsuccessful, and you still have the issue uninstall VP14 from your system, Reboot PC, and THEN install that last Build of VP14. Reboot your PC and start up VP14, enter your SERIAL Number and you should be good to go. If not then get back here. Starting from a cleaned house, we can look at other issues. Let’s hope you’re good to go though.

So if it’s the players crushing the blacks how come it’s not doing it with this clip rendered from Vegas?”
Erm? Now I don’t understand this comment in conjunction with your original post.

[James Murphy] “Any Ideas?”
Hi James! Download the free MediaInfo utility and use it to interrogate your footage and bring the results back here. Doing this will indicate just what is inside your footage.
Also, instead of adding to this thread, please start a new one. You’ve got an interesting issue and I’m sure you’d get others who’d like to help you.
