You think, so you aren’t sure? In any event, not being able to demonstrate the value of Pi in a NLE would be crazy! I used the Freebie and got ALPHA. Do a MediaInfo on your Rendered “ALPHA” media and let’s see.
I have contacts at BORIS and I can follow through.

Great stuff Dave! I’ve never ever heard of such a thing. This will be a good find for somebody else too, in the future.

[Francisco Barceló] “Got it working, many thanks.”
You’re very welcome. Also, we/you can add multiple Points to that Envelope and even Reverse the Transition too!

Thank you Roger.
[Roger Bansemer] “Don’t get upset with me”
I invited you 4 times to read this thread. I even downloaded pI so I could assist you too. Be thankful I’m persistent with you! – Moving on . . .
[Roger Bansemer] “Was it in the render that you achieved that or in a preference set up in PI?”
This is NOT an either/or scenario – it’s both.
A] Set PI Prefs to match what I’d be going to in VP. Here’s for those Falling Leaves:

B] Here’s the pI render settings I just used for those Leaves:
C] VP Settings to have Floating Point 32 bit:

Roger, it’s obvious you haven’t viewed my “Roger Bansemer” posting above. In that I show you how to have an ALPHA Channel render. And have it as an overlay on the VP Timeline. Go view it.

[Roger Bansemer] “Would be nice if they were to have mentioned this upfront in their tutorials instead of saying it was fully funcitional!”
Roger! You didn’t ASK that . . . You asked for an ALPHA. In the Roger Bansemer thread above I told you how. You are dealing with the FREEBIE Pi, and of course, if you want to have VIDEO then you need to PURCHASE the full pI for Vagas, which I have. And again, you only asked if you could attain an ALPHA channel. As to pi FREEBIE it is fully functional for the PARTICLES.
Again, Roger, you ONLY asked for the ALPHA.

Just for YOU, I d/l the FREE SA pI and I have to say it works fine back in VP17:
So, what are your thoughts?

Ah, right! I know the standalone from years ago. I’m guessing that VP needs to have the ALPHA channel in a way that it recognises. Have you had success doing this before? Or is this your first attempt? There’s obviously an ALPHA Flag Vegas ain’t seeing. Please do a MediaInfo on that MOV. Yes?
