OK. I resolved it, but the resolution does not make sense to me.

I imported the audio at 23.98, then exported it at 24 into a QT movie.

I then reimported it at 23.98, and now it is lined up perfectly.

ARGGGG!

It’s 48 according to I-tunes and FCP.

I’m currently dealing with this situation on footage that I know to be definitely be 24PA. I see it the most at the intersection of bright red on black, as well as with bright white.

I am experiencing this now with Final Cut Pro 6. I have room on my hard drive. The full media is definitely there. Deleting and reimporting does not change the duration. For some reason this footage is not registering correctly.
