Thanks Peter,

I think it was the Work Area Bar but I din’t get your message till after I uninstalled and reinstalled PP and AE and did a lot of experimenting and deduction the finally worked it out accidentally just before receiving your message… I somehow got the area above the timeline to be greyed out then it rendered fine (don’t know why it disappeared before).

At least you’ve explained it now so I know what I did in case I do it again.

Phew. Problem solved. Back to the grind…

Hi Peter,

What should I do if the choose Sequence> Render Work Area or Render Effects in Work Area does not work at all? So I can’t even get it to start a render of any sort. It worked fine until yesterday then all of a sudden stopped after I did a few tweaks on the timeline? I am using Mac OS X and have about 30 layers with effects Dynamically linked on PP CS6 to After Effects. Newbie to PP & AE normally used FCP 7 in the past

So do I change Log: to Plus Per Frame info then re-render to get the error log on Mac OS X?
