    Hi,

not quite sure, but does AE starts rendering and then breakes up after a couple of frames with an Error Message reffering to memory?
(I had that problem while trying to render a large project and it was because of lack of RAM.)

    If so try this:

While holding down the SHIFT key click EDIT -> PREFERENCES -> GENERAL.
Wait until the menu pops up an release the SHIFT key.

Now you should have a new option called SECRET.
There check DISABLE LAYER CACHE and set the number to 1 (Purge Every X Frames During Make Movie)

Example: If your render stops after 100 frames with an error set the number to 99 or (better) even lower.

    Hope it helps

Hi, i know you’ve started that thread for about a month before and i’m not sure if you were able to solve it by now. But anyway.

I just had the same problem and i was able to solve it by deinstalling some video playback software (like “video lanc” etc) i recently installed. Before installing them everything worked fine.

The problem can also depend on some video or audio codecs. It may help when you remove all unnecessary codecs (especially codec bundles)

Hope it can help anyone, greetings,
