Definitely after effects. They took all the pages of the app that were designed in illustrator/photoshop and precomped them in after effects into the screen of the iphone model. From there is it a mixture of cuts and other iphone-like animations to transition from page to page mimicking how the app they are selling will work.

FCP markers are called “locators” in Avid. Map the “go to next locator” or “go to previous locator” to your keyboard and use that to navigate.

Get a copy of Sam Kaufman’s “Avid Editing”, which has two scenes from short films included. It was what my teacher gave to us back in school to do the same thing.

In that case you would be best to send the colorist an EDL and your original R3D files if you want all the color information and latitude.

That seems like the perfect time to bring an editor on board. If that is not what you want to do, and projects are piling up then why not have someone else do what you don’t like while you focus on your business? I know it may seem like an added expense but if they can bang it out for you while you shoot more projects you will cover it and hopefully exceed it. Not judgement, just advice. Good luck, Grant, busy is a good problem to have.

Try putting the cut on in another viewing medium. Step away for 15 minutes and export a file to watch on your playstation or a DVD to watch on your television or put it on your iPad. Sometimes being in a different room and the subconscious influences of an audience’s environment instead of an edit suite can help you see it like your viewers might.

You might want to look into cargo collective. I don’t think you can upload your own site layout though, I think you have to use one of their themes. A free WordPress account could do a lot for you but you lose out on the custom URL aspect. In terms of free for non-profit resources I am at a loss. Hosting is pretty cheap though, I think I am only paying three bucks a month for 10 GB of storage.
