September 21, 2015 at 10:28 am in reply to: Davinci Resolve render problem with new Mac ProHi Chriss, I was wondering if you were able to fix the problem you had with the annoying lines, I have been experiencing this problem ever since I got my Mac Pro and dispute all the updates and a change in graphic cards the issue doesn’t seem to go away.
Thanks for your help

Hi Stephan, I had the same problem with the same computer. It is the AMD video card and the Lion version you have. To correct this I upgraded to Mountain Lion and the problem was solved.
Hope this works for you too
Good luck

Hi Dwaine, thanks for the info, is this issue fixed with release of Beta 3?
Thanks again

Ahh that’s it then. I was really frustrated rendering clips. Thanks for letting me know Matt. Hope this gets solved soon because I was starting to like version 9 and now i had to go back to 8.2.2.

I thought this might be the case too, clipping. But its strange because it happens on both shadows and highlights. I will soften the highlight clipping and the lows too and see if it works. Thanks for the advise an I will let you know how it went.
Thanks again
Any idea on getting my project back to 8.2.2?

I’m rendering to ProRes 4444 and am using the latest version of snow leopard. I’m using R3D from an Epic. I’m using an external FireWire 800 drive to pull the images from there.

Thanks to all your advice guys, and sorry for the late respose, for some reason I am not getting mail notifications when I get answers to my questions.
I think it will take some time getting used to it and maybe the cameraman can help by not pressing the record button as often as he might, like through entire sequences in which each take has just a few seconds in between
Cheers

Thanks Rafael, the thing is that I don’t think i will be able to do this because after I’m done editing, Discovery Channel asks for EDLs and also asks the footage be given to them in the same format as on the card, so this means i have to edit of the clips created by the cam. For any other situation it would be a good workflow
