    Great idea, but I’m afraid, It doesn’t work for me, It’s a lyric video, and all the 240 words contain these two characters. The Idea, that the shape chracters stays on the screen, and the other parts of the words appear and disappear, with animation, 3d position, opacity, etc, anything, I guess, impossible make it with one textlayer/word :/

    “The text is changing” === Source Text is changing, not position, or anything else

    Thank you, and sorry, I was totally wrong.

    I did the pre-comp, but I made some silly (spelling) mistake, and the result was undefined later, when I wanted to work with that. I guess, the error handling of the browsers, and IDEs is too comfortable 🙂 I’m new in AE scripting, and sometimes I think, I don’t know something special and important, instead of reading again my code :/

    Thank you the answer, the script is really cool, I started to map the objects myself yesterday 🙂 It’s a shame, that Adobe don’t document this part of their software

    Hi, thank you the answer! I’m not sure, what happens 🙂 but if I add the text before the value settings, its solve the problem.

    So,

    …value.anything =

    works after

    …value.text = ”;
    …property.setvalue(…value.text)

    it needs a character in the line to do anything. maybe it’s the same, AE generate the TextDocument, when I add a character?
