    Here is the solution:

You have to copy all the folder tree of the memory card, and you can ingest the files with “Log and Transfer”. It converts all the files to ProRes422.

    Dear Michael,

I have to disagree with you. We used a SONY PMW-EX1R XDCAM EX camcorder. It records .avi files in SD mode. We didn’t recompress it and It worked well (if you didn’t wanted to send it to Color). But for news It was great.

January 15, 2011 at 12:08 pm in reply to: MBP 17 battery charge suck

Well I think I figured It out. When I only watched TV the MBP switched to the NVIDIA 330M graphic card (I Don’t know why). I have found a small program called gfxCardStatus wich can inform you about the video cards and you can choose manualy between them.

    Thanks for the answer

First of all than I think you have to convert the h.264 to ProRes to edit it. Don’t try to edit the H.264 file.

Do you want to slow down the footage or just the original footage in 50p? Because If you want to change the speed of the clip. You can change the 50p to 25p in Cinema Tools.

January 13, 2011 at 10:23 pm in reply to: OSX slow down when external (USB) plugged

Just to inform you about the solution. The software of the Western Digital external HDD used the 40% of the CPU and the 80% of the memory. We erased it (and disabled the indexing in spotlight).

    Thanks for the help
