Like it or NOT these “people who know little about the post production world in general” are your clients and are the sole purpose why your business exists. Customers are always right.

If oyur just capturing with your iphone’s camear quality anyway, why bother with fcpx. imovie on an iPad works pretty well and fast already.

The way FCPX’s UI looks, I think its one of the many apple programs that will make its way into an iPad Pro. Its just coded too efficiently and follows a lot of Apple’s UI design philisophy on visual metaphors that its almost sure made for touch.

Wow. You guys are ridiculous. Thats a pretty lapse in judgement though sir. Your an institution, authority in this forum, what you say matters. So being quick to judge without exploring all options first really takes a toll on your bias image against FCPX. Just sayin.

Maybe Apple will open up its own internet service then, at much cheaper prices. They have more cash than the US, thats not too far off with their all-in ecosystem.:)

Is there really an NLE on windows which can use 12 cores of CPU?? Can adobe CS5.5 do it? Avid? Edius? I know FCPX can because of Grand Central Dispatch tech by Apple..as it can use not only all of the cores in the CPU but also all of thecores in the GPU. Do they have something similar in windows? Cause if there isnt, whats the point of a montrous build for a windows NLE? 4 cores and lots of ram may be enough.

Eventually osx will disapper, and a souped up version of iOS will take its place. Jobs ultimate dream of modal computing, no filesystem and zero learning curve on using the operating system all came tru with iOS..and it is Apple’s future.

[Glen Hurd] “Would anyone suggest that a newb with a cheaper camera is a threat to someone established with his F3 or Red? “

Well in our country, I have been seeing a spike on documentaries, ads, and shows being done by small production groups of 20-somethings using go-pros DSLRs and iMacs, and the quality has never been better. Our wedding videographers armed with 5DMKIIs and 60Ds and 7Ds dominate WEVA awards every year. Yes they could have hired those with F3s or REDs but why should they if theses smaller guys are more cost effective…and generally more creative with their outputs.
