FWIW, I have had success with wmv files in CS3 so it is doable. Quality is lower than raw avi, but in both cases, wmv is all the client had.

The CNN financial lady did a segment last week about home sales and said somthing like “video walkthroughs are a must in this market”.
Not sure how to use that phrase, it would be nice to get a hold of that clip in fact, and maybe that is something to build on. Maybe someone Tivo’d it.

Royal butlers and Britney Spears’ babysitters have made millions from material like this. If nothing else, Michael Moore and Julia Roberts producers will find fair use rights of parody. Will Flagler’s people ( apparently not Flagler himself AFAIK) win big time? No. Will WalMart lose a bit, most likely. Get those tape duplicators busy.

I would use Adobe PPro CS3. Or the Flash encoder with Flash CS3. Same thing.
That video is 536×360, 15 fps, VP6F codec, mp3 Mono, 700 kbps (guessing here a bit, looks like 500 kbps video plus audio). File size 11 mb for 159 seconds suggest 700 kbps total
About 1.5 the frame size as Youtube, but twice the data rate.

No need for other programs.
In flash, export — movie, jpeg or or bmp sequence Jpeg works well enough for me.
I would use 640×480 though, and let project PAR strech as required.

Agreed – although my flv’s don’t crash my system. Possibly you have something inappropriate associated with the flv file type. Right click – open with – choose program etc. Remove whatver association there is. VLC media player works for me – or a custom player created in Flash itself.
