I hooked up a 16×9 camera monitor and the playback off the time line via firewire into a deck looks correct. So I assume I’m OK but I still do not have an answer for next time.

Why am I seeing .9 for the aspect ration if the format (supposedly) is 16 x 9 or “widescreen” in the eyes of Premiere 6.5?

So please advise if I’m OK or not.

I had Premiere set to widescreen but the captured files
all say .9 for the aspect ratio now that they are sitting
    in the clip bin.

Not sure I’m getting all that you say, sorry.

I had a thought. See if this makes sense.

If I set Premiere to capture each still as two frames then that would seem to get me the 30 frames per second (15 pictures x 2 = 30 frames) I will need to make the movie play correctly in real time, correct? If I do make movie from this it should work as if I had used plain old video I would think.

As to the final format, it simply needs to be made into a SD DVD. Normally, I play this out off the time line into a DVD recorder that accepts firewire. Record to a RW-DVD and author the final version on a computer. Clunky, perhaps, but it works well for me.

    Please advise.

OK Thanks. Now it shows up under Effects.

If I’m starting off with telecined film at 24fps is it best to remove the 3/2 pulldown BEFORE applying Twixtor to alter the speed or does it
take that into on it’s own account?

Hate to sound like a complete noob but…

I installed AE 6.5 and version 4.5.11 of Twixtor. Been a while since I’ve used AE but can you tell me where this should show up so I can see if it did, in fact, install?

…sooo are you saying the current version DOES need AE7?

If I want to go with the older 4.5 is there any break on the price?

How much slower or faster is one over the other and is the end result
    the same for my needs??
