    Thanks again Blast 1.
Have tried the things you recommended but still with no effect.
It still says “Can`t activate recorder-Try resetting camera”.
    Thanks for trying though.

[Blast1] “What you should do when the Pop-up window shows is to cancel it and open premiere and verify that your project is setup right and device contol options are correct first before trying to capture”

    Thanks for that blast 1.
Could you tell me how i go about finding if my project is set up right? And i don`t know where to find my device control options.

    Hi Perry.
I am able to capture useing Windows MovieMaker and Firewire. The problem is i have been unable to capture with Adobe 1.5.
I am always shown the window to ask which software i would like to use.
I have also captured with other editing systems from my XL1s.
I think that would eliminate a camera or firewire problem.
It seems to come down to either a software or system requirement problem.
    Thanks for your interest.

    Hi Blast 1.
I believe you are right when you ask about system requirements,i havn`t enough of what i need to make the software perform properly.
Premiere Pro 1.5 loads but i am unable to capture any footage from the tape.
    See post Jan 13th.

[mike velte] “Scenalyzer is just capture software…edit the files in Premiere.”

Unfortunatly my Premiere Pro doesn`t work on my computer.
When i`ve captured with MovieMaker it allows me to import music from my computer to use as background as well as or instead of dialogue.

    Thanks again Mike.
I have just downloaded the demo which has captured fine.
Is it possible to download music to this software to use over the top of the visuals. Also to narrate.
Haveing viewed your profile Mike i see you are a videographer as well.
I am now starting out with a canon XL1s with no prior experience.I will be going to a workshop to learn the basics at the end of the month.
Have you any advice about earning a living as a videographer?
Like you i am fed up with doing somthing i don`t enjoy and feel videography is the step to a happier future.
You have as always been very helpful.
    Thanks again.
    Terry

    Hi Mike.
You were right again.I am logged as the administrator.
Have spent the best part of today trying to sort out the problem, thanks to people like yourself.
I don`t seem to be any nearer the solution but am grateful for the help in getting to know the computer.
The software i was able to capture with were PowerProducer and Windows MoviePlayer.
On recommendation i deleted PowerProducer in case it interfered with Adobe.
I finally managed to download a complete version of Graphedit and did the checks recommended but again with no success.
    Thanks once again Mike.
    Have a great sunday.
