anybody? AVCHD is interlaced 1080i

Should we export to 1080p ? or is it the same blurry image into another framerate…
Should I choose 1080p, 1080i, or 720p ? (regarding Quality AND Rendering Time)

Thanks a lot , I will try to isolate the Timeline Cuts in there…

Could I possibly auto-assign Markers in all cuts and export the Markers instead?

Exactly, the clips need automatic trimming, they are over 1000.
I need something like “automate to sequence, with 5sec overlapping” so the usable clip in the timeline is trimmed in both ends

Clips all OK but they need trimming to discard the start/end because of motion due to button press.
How do I batch trim (crop?) them?

Just a quick question,
isn’t there a preset in AME that could use less render ?
my camcorder is AVCHD 1080p NEX-EA50

Thanks for clarifying how strict DVD standard is.

Back to my main question. What kind of exporting is your proposal for retaining most of the detail 1080/50p 4:2:0 has to offer while not spending too much space.

if 576/25p isn’t standard for DVD
what’s the hype about “progressive playback” in all modern DVD players ?
