Changing field order to progressive fixed it! And to answer your question John, it is an M2TS file obtained from a Hauppauge HD PVR.

Press “B” on the keyboard. If I remember right, that brings up the master level.

I personally find it useful, actually, because it is a place at which I can drag the time indicator and scrub through without interfering with other events along the timeline.

The only way I have figured around it is to put both events on separate tracks.
