Hi SDragon; just use Sapphire S2_WarpTransform or S2_WarpPerspective. They both have full 3d rotation. I’d put it on as your first effect in this case (apply to title/key), then the rays, and glow (bg=1 below).

Hi Scott; I’d try Sapphire S_WarpChroma. It’ll give you more CA near the frame edges, and you can mask it as needed by putting a grayscale mask into the Matte input.

Set the From Z Dist to a little over 1, and To Z Dist to 1 for a good start.

Not for FCP or Motion specifically, but the same plug-ins work in After Effects on the Mac. There’s a nice free online tutorial at https://www.genarts.com/sapphire-ae-tutorial.html, and the same tricks and tips will mostly work in FCP.

No upgrade issues for Sapphire between AE 6.5 and 7.0; install the latest version from our web site (www.genarts.com) and you should be all set.

Hi Dasromas; if you’re using the AE (FCP, etc.) version, check out our free detailed online tutorial by Chris Phrommayon(PDF/HTML with media and AE projects) at https://www.genarts.com/sapphire-ae-tutorial.html. We are also working on a book for the Avid version; not available yet but stay tuned.

Hi WhiteNoise. I assume you’re using Sapphire v2. In that case, just uninstall from the old Mac (using the uninstaller in /Applications/GenArtsSapphire2AVX/Uninstall Sapphire) first, and register the uninstall with our server when it prompts you. Then install Sapphire on the new Mac and install your serial number, and you should be all set.

Hi Roy — I assume you’re using Sapphire v2. After applying the effect and selecting “Apply to Title/Key”, just turn up Rays From Alpha so the rays are generated from the alpha (matte) rather than the fill. You may also want to turn up Rays Under Source so the rays come from behind/under the foreground (title).

Try Sapphire (version 2) S2_Glow. Click Apply to Title/Key and you should get a nice glow on the Marquee title without affecting the bg.

Yep, looks a lot like Sapphire S_Sparkles to me (with some masking to make them go where you want.)
