That could very well be the case. Did you look at the Preferences settings? That’s where you should find audio output settings.

Why not use the audio encoding offered by BitVice? There are a number of options available (look in the Preferences settings).

Apple Intermediate codec is not a good choice – an old codec. The Animation codec is a good choice for your purposes. It’s lossless so your results will be as good as your source, but yes, the file size is something you have to deal with.

Sorry I can’t help you Larry, but I’m having the same issue with my AJA Kona HLe – CS6 AE sees it, PP audio sees it, but PP video playback doesn’t work. Any suggestions for me?
I’m on a Mac Pro, 10.6.8, 2 x 3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT

What kind of Blu-ray burner are you using and how is it connected to your system?

If lowering the Bitrate to get the file size below 2GB doesn’t give you the quality you want, or maybe reducing the frame size to 960 x 540, or a combination of both, then maybe you can split the movie into two parts.

I use Media 100 as my weapon of choice. In older versions (pre Intel) the export out of Media 100 into BitVice required selecting ‘Use Studio RGB’ otherwise the transcode would result in crushed blacks and lower overall luminance. This is not what you are getting though, so no need to explore that any further. If this problem is unique to this project (you said previous results were fine and you’ve not changed your workflow) then I’m not sure what else to suggest – other than playing the disc in a different player/TV set-up to see if that makes a difference. Sorry I can’t be of more help. Good luck.

Does it correct itself if you zoom in or out on the timeline? Is everything okay if you save, quit, and then open the project again?

When you do the transcoding in BitVice, do you have ‘Use Studio RGB’ selected?

Is your media on an external drive with a Firewire 800 or better connection?
