In your project ‘Effects’ tab do a search for ‘Warp Stabilizer’. I haven’t ever used Motion’s Optical Flow so I can’t say how it compares.

There are a couple of ways to do what you want but the easiest is to select the clip in your timeline, go to audio effects and select “Fill Right”. You can apply this to multiple selected clips as well.

Just remember that you will ALWAYS see a picture quality difference between the original HD and final DVD… it can’t be avoided, especially when using software for scaling. Some software is better than others. For years now, I’ve been using BitVice and have been very happy with the final picture quality.

Unfortunately, it looks like you’ve made an HD-DVD and the only fix is to rebuild your DVD making sure to de-select the “HD-DVD” check box.

Check your ‘Expansion Slot Utility” to ensure you have proper settings.
System drive>System>Library>Core Services> Expansion Slot Utility

MPEG Streamclip (free) will convert – at least it worked for me when I did a quick test a few minutes ago.

This doesn’t help you Tony because you’re on a PC, but for Mac users out there wondering the same thing, Clipwrap works very well to join clips.

Have you tried using Disk Utility to repair permissions? I can’t say for sure that this will make a difference but that would be my first step. If that doesn’t work, rebuilding your directory using Disk Warrior might help. It could also be a Hackintosh issue. Good luck.
