Thanks guys,
What I ended up doing was apple D (duplicate) the layer in question, highlight it, then layer – time – time reverse layer and WALLAAA a reversed copy.
But, it was through the feedback that I was able to find this so, tks

November 22, 2011 at 2:22 am in reply to: Pick whip layers, to have same movement and stay as separate layersHi Dan, if I create a left knee up, left knee down, right knee up, right knee down on and on etc. This looks, at least to me that it’s just the legs moving up and down. Now, if when the knee goes up to it’s highest point the rest of the body jerks up a little I find it give the impression that the whole body is in motion.
The problem is it’s a little more complicated, there are places where the arms go up and clap above the head as well as lip movements (using that sync expression you gave me last week)
I think I’m going to have to work this one out with a combo of looping, pre-comp and lip syncing.
I should have thought this threw before dropping this thread.
Tks anyway mate
Just for the knowledge, let’s say the lip sync expression, can one pick whip more than one layer at a time??

I think I can comp it. I’ll give it a try.
Once again Dan
Tks mate

Bloody great laddie,
Thanks to both of you for participating, Dan you son of a gun it was perfect, the only thing I had to change was as you mentioned, the amp to +1 (just to fine tune position) but it looks and flows great.
Thanks guys and all the best

Hey, bonjour mon ami, Thanks very much for your in depth perspective, I now understand the legal ramifications. Let me ask you a question, I noticed a lot of pub and college chorals of this particular song on you tube, (it’s not we are the champions, I used that as a very relatable reference) And from what I read in your legal perspective is, they could possibly get sued, by who ever holds the rights to the words of the song.
The funny thing is, I was doing this for all my road crew mates, when we have our christmas party down at the local pub.
Guess I will have to think about this, thanks for your help mate
All the best

I thought it would be a smaller file than a 62 layer animation! The original was a qt vid that I extracted a portion of, duplicated, then reversed 1 copy in ps and combined so that it would show an even flow. The ps file is 52mbs at 1280×720 whereas the qt was762kb.
As we know in ps, all one has to do is apple click on the layer and inverse delete, I was hoping there would be something similar in AE.

Hey, don;t that beat all, I just found an acapella version on you tube, YYYEahh

Actually Dave, I totally agree, I did the audio (single track) along with the animation, I am now trying to find an audio program that I can delete/minimize the instrumental and, maximize on the vocals. I would then multiply the vocals and run them 1/2 second behind the original track or, maybe run two sets of vocals at micro different time spreads depending on how it sounds.
Tks mate

I haven’t futzed with it either mate, but, I totally agree with you and am only looking for an audi mixing process then, drag it back into AE and sync it with my animation.
