It would help to see exactly what this “strobing” looks like, as there is an inherit issue with GoPro aerial footage that can cause a kind of flicker-like phenomenon that may be described as “strobing” by different people.

Are you being specifically asked to produce 4K wildlife footage by a paying client? Are you losing paid work because you cannot shoot 4K wildlife footage?

Interlaced and strobing are two different things. Is it strobing or does it look interlaced?

You will not achieve the final image you are looking for because you think the camera makes the difference. The camera has little to do with the look from the link you posted. That is more lighting and art direction. I would advise that you keep your GH2 and instead raise money to hire a good gaffer and a set designer/art director.
This was a film shot on the same GH2 you already own.

Yes, you create new virtual media at the location you want it to go do and drag and drop clips.

This is such a huge deal, especially after working in Premiere where it doesn’t care what you relink to.

Buy a used 5D Mark III, or wait until the Mark IV announcement (supposedly at the end of this month) and get it even cheaper.
You could also easily go with the 5D Mark II if you like the quality of the footage in the YouTube video you linked.

I would wait. CS6 is now five generations behind the current version and nothing would spoil your move-up to CC more than to have issues with a CS6 project. I have done it, quite successfully, for older stuff that needs to be revisited, but I wouldn’t want the stress of getting the cut out the door whilst having to do a significant upgrade of the NLE.
