Twixtor’s an OK solution, but has the best results when you don’t view it full screen. More often than not, I can see the warping in the picture when viewing it in a larger window than just the default size on Vimeo/YouTube/ect.

Shooting a higher shutter than 1/120 won’t help much with the slow motion.

Shoot at 720p 60 for the slow motion, then upscale it to 1080. The Canon DSLRS only resolve an actual 700ish lines of resolution anyway, so there won’t be any noticeable difference when you upscale, especially if you go through AE first and use Instant HD from Red Giant. But even if you just drop it in Premiere’s timeline and upscale it using the “Motion” effect to fit the 1080 frame, I doubt you’ll see much difference.

Actually, you don’t have to do anything. Just find the extra clips that are the exact same length and remove them.
If you import P2 from the VIDEO folder, you’ll get multiple spanned clips. Used to do this all the time, just remove from the bins the ones with the same length (and the ones that aren’t used in your timeline). Shouldn’t effect your edit.
Use Media Browser from now on, though. It works great.

Never had a problem with AME, and in fact find it far superior to Compressor.

[Bill Davis] A week ago, I was shooting in a hotel gig – typical Spyder Pod at the back of the room with a 24x lens tracking back and forth on a 4 person panel. I realized that we’d be getting MUCH better video if I could have rigged 4 iPod touches w/video on desk stands, one on the table in front of each presenter, and simply switched them via WiFi.
Interesting. So will you be using this setup on your next similar project?

Don, how would you be doing this when that option does not exist?

Adding a RAID is great advice. Defragging won’t show any difference and changing the page file can make your system unstable.

None of you will ever actually use it for an “A” camera anyway, so point made solely by omission.
[FULL DISCLOSURE] I’m in need for an upgrade so I will be getting the 4S and I will even be using its video/photo capabilities when I’m just shooting little fun things. It won’t be replacing my proper video camera setup, so dream on.

But, Christian, you don’t understand. You are either for Apple or against it. And if you don’t stay true with a 100% Apple software+hardware workflow, then you will be out of a job soon.
