Nearly a year later and still wondering…

I realize that this is an old post, but was wondering if anyone knew of a way around the random / repeat problem mentioned in this thread.

I have done something basically similar, but instead of a text cloud I have magazine covers that are emitted. Problem I run in to, which is mentioned above, is that I get repeat covers even though I have more than enough variety in my source layer to keep that from happening.

Is there a control setting I am missing that would allow me to control exactly what is being emitted?

Can post an example of what I am talking about if this makes no sense whatsoever.

    Thanks,
    Gardiner

Has control panel installation problem in Lion been resolved? Thinking of updating, but don’t want to break things.

Are there any updates to the Apple Loops metadata issue mentioned at the top of this thread?

    Just curious.

What is Final Cut Pro X and FCSrvr? Never heard of them. 😉

Ok so did you at least experience the same issue I did in terms of the info being misread? I want to confirm that it is something that is a general issue with reading those type of files and not specific to my setup.

Could I load the files now, then once the bug is fixed, do an asset refresh to bring in the proper metadata or should I wait?

Let me know and thanks for getting back to me.

    Best,

I posted something similar, but in regards to Apple Soundtrack Loop file metadata not being read, but other audio files with the same ID info having varying degrees of success in terms of CatDV parsing the file properly.

    Any updates on this?

    Hey Les,

I am sole proprietor investigating StorageDNA as well and curious as to how their solution has been working for you.

Please post any pros / cons if you can as it would be great to hear from real world users like yourself vs. marketing materials.

Thanks in advance for any info you can share on your setup.

    Best,
    Gardiner
