thanks for your answer but I’m in Brasil … too far away from OWC. In fact my HD enclosure (RAID) I bought from them.
I guess I will have to wait for Lion, FCP X, new MacPro to see what I’m looking for or wait for an affordable thundebolt enclosure … lol

    Thanks anyway.

You are right Scott. But unless we have a pre arranged shot list and a visit in advance to the place to be shout and lit the way it will be, those presets mentioned by Jayasri are a good help and I have them on my HDV camera.
I’ve asked that question because I will drop like a parachute on a wedding to be shout with no time to know the place in advance. I’m more used to do studio work where I have much more control of everything that happens and moreover, usually everything is pretty well organized weeks before.
    But, thanks for your explanations.

Thanks Dan & John. You two pretty much said the same and exactly what I was thinking. I will have a hard job but challenging. All was recorded in green screen. I think I will leave the keying for the final sequence where I will be able to take more care about the images. After that make a re-check of the audio and finally the color correction if there is a need.

    Thank you very much.

That’s what I will have. A presentation with 2 actors. The SFX desired are to make more intense sometimes …

  • I agree with you David.
I’m crazy to start working with X. I’ve heard people saying: ” If Apple doesn’t change this or that I will change for another NLE software” … .
I don’t want to do it and by the things that I saw in the video and in the “between the lines” of the speaches, I will not have to do it.

I was almost sure that working with progressive is easier than interlaced specially talking about keying.
I’m guessing, by the script, that 70% of the video will be shooting with the actress in studio #1. Than I will stuck with progressive definatly. Since the HDV shoots 1440×1080 60i 29,97, I should shoot with the EX3 in 1920×1080 29,97p , right ?
Do you think I better deinterlace the HDV material before editing ?

In the end I will have 70% of easier material for post and 30% to cranck my head … lol
