After losing a great deal on a used Christie, a facilty I know turned to the new “Pro” Plasmas. They have a great price here in France, including a HDSDI board.

I use the Rec709 to XYZ found in this forum and it works fine for me. Going from 5D, 7D, XdCam EX and F3 to XYZ after grading and it looks good.

No soft Luts, straight HD broadcast Rec 709 in and out, monitoring with either a Panny BTLH 2550 or my Eizo Lut calibrated Rec 709 through Hdlink displayport.

Hi Stig, sorry to hear that you are having this issues, I work all the time with Media Composer and never had any.
My DaVinci settings are 1080p normally scaled, most of the media is DNxHD 185X or uncompressed 10bit. The AAF export/ import is flawless.
I monitor with Mojo DX and Nitris DX, and now sometimes with the Decklink and no problem.
Woul you upload some clip for me to try with my configuration?

Hi Ola.
What is actually going on is that a facility I work for from time to time and already has a video projection and machine room, had this offer from another group that’s upgrading its projection room.
I got the mail from them yesterday, did some google research and then asked you guys for some advice.
I’ll keep you informed of the decisions we make in the next few weeks.

Hi Ola, thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, we have 2 Hdlinks, so using the XYZ lut with them won’t be a problem.
My concern its most with the Christie model itself, its an old(4-5 years) model and I was wondering if it’s worth the 15k€ they’re asking for it.
