February 5, 2012 at 11:41 amI’ve got the 50PF30, which was the last “step” before the BT300 came.
Anyway I’ve seen a review somewhere about the reference plasmas, I just can’t find the link:S -

February 5, 2012 at 4:35 pmI got mine TH-50BT300 2 weeks ago. I looks and works amazing. I am waiting for xrite i1Display Pro to arrive next week to calibrate it with LightSpace CMS.
Plasma is very near Rec709 without any serious calibration. Only some eye matching of WB, brightness, contrast can get you close. Will post some info after I do the calibration next week.
3D is amazing. I have done a stereo cinema ad few months ago and checked it on plasma, and some BluRays. my opinion is that I can see on plasma more accurate 3D (compositing mistakes,…) than in cinema (xpand)
Only thing a bit bad about plasma is the remote, it wants to be pro, and doesn’t have volume buttons assigned. So you need to go in the user shortcuts and spare 2 of 8 user buttons for volume + and –
In plasma there is an option of using full range 0-255 or video 16-236. But I have no idea is the HDMI input 10bit or 8bit? Is the HDMI 4:2:2 or 4:4:4?
I do not have any input card. If the built-in HDMI is 8bit only do I need to buy HD-SDI input card?Similar plasma review if anyone looking for some more info:

February 5, 2012 at 7:41 pmHi Teo, nice to hear that you like the BT300.
After losing a great deal on a used Christie, a facilty I know turned to the new “Pro” Plasmas. They have a great price here in France, including a HDSDI board.
Steve Shaw talks about a “power management issue” in redusernet https://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?42951-Suggest-Monitors-for-Grading&p=933799#post933799
Do you know about this issue?

February 6, 2012 at 9:08 amI see.
Well, I don’t know if it’s a power management issue or not, but I see a very-very little gamma change sometimes, when the brightness changes drastically between two scenes.
