I am following you. Again, check to make sure BOTH viewer AND canvas are set to “open” and I think that should solve the problem. You can look this up in the manual if you don’t believe me.

Is it just displaying the HD footage letterboxed? Check the clip info and deselect the anamorphic setting and see what happens.

Set your clip viewer and canvas to “open.” I think that should do it.

It’s still not the end of the world. Put your edit on an SD (29.97) sequence and let Final Cut add the pull-down to your 23.98 clips (along with scaling down to SD. This will be fine for the DVD.

You don’t have an in and out point set on the sequence do you? I know it’s a dumb question but I gotta ask it.

Wonder if you can sync the original clip’s good audio to the conformed clip’s video. Then you’ll be set.

Have you tried rendering it shot for shot more than once…starting on a different clip. Could just just be coincidence the that first clip is corrupted.

I’m not sure, but you may be able to conform those clips in CINEMA TOOLS.

I also think it’s the Formac. As far as TBC’s go, are you sure your deck doesn’t have one built in? I know, stupid question…but..
