How will you get the hdmi signal out of Davinci without a Blackmagic Card? Would you use an DVI to HDMI converter and use the second outpout of the Graphic card? Please tell me the trick – I don´t quit get it…

UPDATE: Just found out that with complex scenes (hdri.c4d out of the 9.52 lib) the cpu-peaks reaches nearly 100% while rendering one complex frame. When it beginns with the next frame all cpus drop down to 0% for a few secs and then boosts back to 100%.

So with less complex scenes the periods of rendering from frame to frame are much shorter, which means more cpu peaks and less full usage of the cpus.

Also I found it strange that the Ram usage never extends 1 Gb with c4D. Is that normal for even complex scenes? I mean I have 16 GB ram on my system and the feeling I never could use it with c4D, with After Effects I need all the time at least 10 GB to work smoothly.

reinstalling aint possible because the C4D Demo has no installer. Maxon says you should copy the Demofolder on your HD or you could even start it from a DVD! I found that a very good and clean solution.

Did you guys have to install the payed C4D11 in a “classic way”? Maybe thats my problem…

Hi Adam,

seems not to be a Demo limitation, I just tested a 32 Bit Demoversion on my “old” machine, and there it uses 100% of the cpus.

I tested so far about 20 different Scenes, all the same slow behaviour. Renderlines are always there, I just did a by accident a screenshot when non was to see 🙂

What I dont get: I know, it seems like a hardware problem (XP is fresh installed with only a few programms). But I think Maxons Cinebench has the same Programmcore as C4D, and it runs great, so it shouldn´t be a hardwareissue…
Maxon wont give me a feedback, because Im no registered user but I wont buy it until I know whats wrong- very frustating the whole situation.

I read about that Networkrender in C4D but I couldnt figure out how it works. Is it even worth to run it with one machine? Has it advantages to the “Windowrender” (which is, by the way, very anoying that it always displays the actual frames)?

Same problem here with xp 64 bit and AE cs3, that problem really costs time…

Hi Guys,

I had simillar problem with encore CS3.

Two things can cause this:

1) Some configurations of DVD and/or Cd Burners cause Encore to crash at the startup. So disable the Burner which encore doesnt like inside your Windows Hardwaremanager(rightclick disable), no need to reboot.

2) Lately I upgradet my Pc to 3GB Ram, because I work with After Affects I had to switch on the “more than 2GB Button” inside Windows so that AE could use all 3GB ram (https://generalspecialist.com/tutorials/ae7_ram.html).
Since I did that, Encore would start but it couldnt import any media. So you have to reset this setting and reboot.
