Hey, found the answer for anyone else.
It is possible, if you turn on build peaks in view in Internal Preferences then zoom in on the timeline to the ones you want rebuildling -

Could someone also help me with the following:
Which render settings are best to export a clip from sony vegas for editing in after effects. Quality does not have to be insane as will be editing , but I want a codec/container which After Effects can ram preview/scrub through easily for ease of editing in there.Found out the issue with the Audio btw above. Premiere Pro and AE both don’t knwo how to interpret files with multiple audio tracks it seems. Anyone know a fix for this?

That media properties thing works well, thanks. CAPS didn’t help me understand some other things though:
What exactly does the Save Icon do then in properties? And why am I getting this error? It must serve some sort of function and from what I read in a previous thread, it saves how certain file types are auto interpreted on import by Vegas. Am using pro 12 latest build and is a purchased version.
