The ones I’ve tried editing are are high definition (1080p) .wmv-files from 200MB-300MB, and MPEG1-files at about 100MB. Both types get equally choppy.

I’ve been saving all videos directly to C:\, as that’s my only option now. I’ve ordered an external hard drive though, and am hoping it will improve things.

Incidentally, the tutorial I’m using advised me to set “Dynamic RAM Preview Max” to 1024 (max), and “maximum number of rendering threads” to 4 (max).

Thanks, I wasn’t aware that it wasn’t supposed to be included in the Sony Vegas Studio edition. I’ll have to make due without it for now.
