For a 10 second simplest in the world composition which has only the word “Hello” in there it asks me for 1 minute render time for avi or mov BEST and 17 minutes for targa sequence.
Are you sure guys there is nothing wrong with the software?

Well, are you using HDV (mpeg2) or AVCHD camcorder? You can try adjusting the bitrate encoding to suit your destination disc
You can fit 40 minutes HD on DVD DL but eventually you can not avoid buying Blu Ray discs in future.
You can also try my encoding calculator to see at what bitrate you should encode to fit discs. Just enter the correct value of your video length in the field “Audio Minutes” (since both video and audio are the same length)

I think the problem is simple. HDV 1080-50i is upper field first and you select to render to PAL DV which is lower field first. The render template of PAL DV in Vegas is right (if your video was coming from a common DV camera), but since your footage is upper field you should make a copy of the PAL DV Widescreen template but select the field to be upper and save this template as “PAL DV Wide uff”. Now render with this and please tell us your results.

I would like to know that answer too. I would also like to know if this x.v.color works best with 32bit projects in Vegas.
By the way, I tested my HC9 on my LCD TV which does not support this feature. I shot footage using x.v.color on and off. I could tell NO difference at all.

Thank you all. I think the pillarboxes (if I don’t check the stretch option) are very small (thin). Isn’t that right?

Sometimes some plugins fail to register correctly. So you can manually register them by using regsvr32 xxxx.dll (where xxx the path and name of plugin)

My god!! If someone of you has installed Cinescore then have a look at the Control Panel–> Add Remove programs. You will find there unistaller for Cinescore Plugin..

It’s this that I am wondering what is it. Cinescore obviously installs also itself as a plugin but there is nowhere to be found..

I don’t have link. It just installs in the PC. You can also have the option to remove it using the add/remove menu There you can find these two, Remove Cinescore, and remove Cinescore plugin.
Has anyone of you actually installed it?
