Sony camera X.V. color —- DSE ?
In you review of the Sony HDR-HC9, you stated:
“Regardless of whether an X.V. Color display is available, it’s a good idea to use X.V. Color. Nothing is lost, and data is on the tape for future use/access.”I have not yet downloaded Vegas 8 and edited an HD production, but that will happen next week. My Sony camera also can shoot in X.V. color, but the manual says to record in x.v. only when the content will be played back on an x.v. color compliant TV. AND, if it is played on a non-x.v. compliant TV, the color may not be reproduced correctly.
I assume the x.v. color in layman’s terms would be “deeper more saturated, and more colors”, AND the x.v. color gets captured to Vegas. If I’m wrong please correct me.
My specific questions are:
Will I see any difference between non-x.v.color shots, and x.v. color shots, on Vegas preview from the timeline?
Will I see any difference between non-x.v.color shots, and x.v. color shots, shown from web / DVD / or Blu-ray, on a non-compliant TV?
And more importantly will my clients have any negative viewing experiences viewing DVD’s and Blu-ray on non-compliant TV’s, if I shoot in x.v.color?

I would like to know that answer too. I would also like to know if this x.v.color works best with 32bit projects in Vegas.
By the way, I tested my HC9 on my LCD TV which does not support this feature. I shot footage using x.v.color on and off. I could tell NO difference at all.
