There should be an option under the “file” menu->Export from Edit Suite, where you can set your export selection. You should load the clip into the Edit Suite first by double-clicking it.
Or you can use a batch script (from the AppleScript menu) if you need to export a larger number of clips at once. -

Hmmm, the Aja out works for us. Not sure why it does not work for you, but I am not sure if this is something Media 100 can fix. What version of AE and OSX are you using?

The Aja 7.0 drivers do work and are supported with FCP 6.x as well as 7.x; Plus, as far as I know Suite 1.1.1 also should work with the Aja 6.5 driver. But I think there is no reason not to upgrade to Aja 7.0

yes, Suite 1.1.1 works fine on OSX 10.5.8. We are also running all our systems on Leopard, since our FibreChannel software still is not available for Snow Leopard.

I think what you are seeing is not an Media 100 issue but an Aja problem. The Aja driver has a function called “Digital Desktop”, which lets you use your SDI out as a 3rd computer screen. But in many situations this function disables Quarz Extreme for the Graphics card.
You need to download the Aja NDD driver (that is the driver without the Digital Desktop component) for your card; preferably the 7.0 driver, which works with Media 100 Suite 1.1 and FCP 6.0.x and FCP7. And you should also upgrade to Suite 1.1 while you are at it… -
Can you maybe post the file somewhere? I guess there haven´t been changes to the Media 100 i codec itself in quite some time, but maybe something changed in the Apple MJPEG B codec, which is the base for the Media 100 i codec? Or your original file contains illegal RGB values in its YCrCb native file, which cannot be preserved by a YCrCb->RGB->YCrCb conversion.

It is not working for me either. But if you are on Aja hardware, you can switch to the Aja V-out in AE. If you are working with Apple codecs like ProRes this will give you the correct colorspace anyway.

Additionally to what Jim said, you need to make sure that the AE Project importer for CS4 is installed. Unfortunately this is only shipping with Media 100 suite V1, and I am not 100% sure that it will work with projects exported from Media100 V13.x.
To give it a try, first, rename your AdobeAfterEffects Plugin folder within your Media100 folder to e.g. “AEPlugin Version 13”. Then download the Media 100 Suite trial version. Then right-click on the installer on the disk image and select “show package content”. Within this installer there is a folder named Content->Packages, with a file named Media100Suite1SpecialFolders.pkg. Run this installer and let it place the new AE folder within your Media 100 folder.
Then copy the “AE_XML_Project_Importer.bundle” from the new AE exporter folder within your Media100 folder into YourAdobeAfterEffectsCS4 folder->Plugins->Format. Then try to import the file that you exported from Media100 via the File->Export to AfterEffects command.
If this does not work you either can upgrade to Media 100 Suite, or you can use the AE CS3 workaround. Export to AE from Media 100 as before, copy the AE_XML_Project_Importer.bundle from your Media 100 folder into the AE CS4->Plugins->Format folder and import the project there. Save the AE project and open the AE CS3 project in CS4.

Right, I am seeing that too. Also 10.5.8, but as far as I can tell OSX10.5.8 should be supported?!?
