  • Question about Exporting Audio Clip

Posted by Family Tree video on November 5, 2009 at 5:01 pm

I am trying to find out if there is a way, using Media 100 Version 8.2, to export an audio clip from a project bin to a destination outside Media 100, i.e, a file folder on my mac or more ideally my itunes library? Thanks to anyone who can help!

There should be an option under the “file” menu->Export from Edit Suite, where you can set your export selection. You should load the clip into the Edit Suite first by double-clicking it.
Or you can use a batch script (from the AppleScript menu) if you need to export a larger number of clips at once.

Thank you very much for responding. I tried to do that….not sure what i am doing wrong. I was able to export as an .mov file. Is there a way to convert that to a mpg3 file? Or what should I choose in the drop down menus when exporting? Thanks again.

You could export an AIFF (audio only) file; iTunes can convert it into MP3
