I would guess that your RAID is not set up correctly. In RAID admin, did you turn on all the caches? They speed up things quite a lot.

Easy. Do your edit in SD compressed, in an SD timeline.
After finishing the SD edit, choose Media->Conform Program and use the “Make re-acquirable media offline” checkbox. You will end up with a 1080oi timeline with offline video clips you can reacquire then.

Easiest way for you would be to download the Media 100 sw trial version from borisfx.com. Install it on your FCP system, open your timeline there and export it to EDL. Or play around with Media 100 sw and like it, and upgrade e.g. to a Media 100 HD system later 😉

I think you mean switching the digibeta to “video”?!?
Our digibetas are all set to “sync” on menu 701. But one additional thing you could try is to set point 309 to EXT. Don

Have you tried disconnecting the decks and the system from the house sync and setting genlock to internal on HD? In this setup it works for us.
