One thing you definitely should try while waiting for your new board is to get a second internal HD (or a FireWire drive) and do a clean install of OSX 10.5 plus the latest software updates onto it. Then install V12.7.1 and the Kona 5.1.NDD drivers (make sure not to use the Kona 6.0 drivers since they are currently not supported). If you want you also can install FCP for the Quicktime codecs.
Then look if your system performs as expected. If you see the same problems on a fresh installation then it is extremely likely that you have a hardware problem.
The only point that is somewhat suspicious is that you also see the glitches on rendered footage, which should not have it if the fault is on the input side of your hardware. Do you see the same glitches in the “record window” in Media 100, or is it only on the hardware output? -

“If you have Media 100 V8.01, you definitely should upgrade to V8.1.1, which is free. I also would recommend upgrading to V8.2.3a, which is the latest release of Media 100 i, but the V8.2 line is not free for V8.1 users. You could download the V8.2.3a release and have a look at the readme file to see what is new and to decide if the upgrade is worth it for you.
The installers always contain the full release, so no need to upgrade in sequence. But you definitely should make sure that you have your encryption code written down somewhere in case something goes wrong during the upgrade (very unlikely, but you never know).

It sounds like you did digitize the material 2 times?!? The system only searches for V60 material if it digitized it at this setting.

This sounds like you have actually captured a different bin than the material that you have on your drives. Do the clips show up correctly on the system you have captured on?
Renaming the files does not help, since Media 100 is not looking for the filename but also for some header info in the actual files to see if these are your captured clips. Obviously they don´t match, so Media 100 cannot relink.One thing you could do is to drag your clips from the Finder into a bin to get them back into your system. You will lose the clipnames and comments, though, but you should keep reel name and timecode reference.

“You should have a look at the CPG to see where your card should be placed (basically at the position where your SCSI board was earlier). On the Media 100 FTP site you can download the latest CPG for the Media 100 i systems.

Unfortunately you cannot download them individually. The only official (and reliable) way is by reinstalling OSX and using Software Update.

On http://ftp.media100.com you can find an installer for Media 100 10.1.4 (under Media 100 i). Maybe this fixes some of your problems, although it would surprise me. As a test I would install an Mac OS and QuickTime version recommended for V10.1.4 (look into the readme included in the download) onto a second partition to see if the problem happens there also.
Plus, make sure that all your drivers (e.g. for your SCSI card) are up to date. Can you play back media files from your internal HD? -

As far as I know they won´t work. Aja did release the final drivers yesterday, so I would guess the guys at Media 100 are looking at them right now…

The new (V6) Aja drivers are currently not supported with Media 100. So you should avoid installing them on a Media 100 V12.7.1 system
