    No, alas:
text is still one of the few things that cannot be influenced by expressions, scripts, etc.

Perhaps prepare your text-assets in another app like Indesign, export to PDF and import the pdfs ?

Why do you want to animate in 24 ?

Is a lot of your source footage from film, or do you like the stuttery motion ?

I’d just render to 29.97 fps, non-interlaced if you don’t have too much fast-moving type so you can afford it, interlaced if it looks too jittery.

  • Linear Dodge is Photoshop’s alternative to “Add”, it does not have a true add.
I’m not sure if mathematically the two are equivalent, but for colours that aren’t too saturated, it sure looks similar to me.

  • Make sure the ram-preview settings Frame-rate is set to Auto (you’ll see (24) in braces) not 25 or 30, etc.

This question has been answered hundreds of times before.

    As said: Use Hold keyframes.

If you do want a little subtle predictable movement between two keyframes that are _almost_ identical, use linear spatial interpolation.

It mght just be faster to do the frames in one by one in photoshop using adjustment layers: you can just sample the same grey or white every time by one click, using the eye-droppers in the levels or curves window.
A shame After effects doesn’t offer that.

Think of noise() as a field of values waiting to be mined:
you feed it a value, or a position (2d or 3d), and it gives you a pseudo-random number.

The field never changes: you’ll always get the same values from the same co

I experimented a little, and even if you delete every instance of (Delete) and (Fwddel) from the AE shortcuts pref file, the ? still appears,
After copy-pasting it into BBedit, turns out it’s not a real question mark character, but another escaped non-printable character.
I tried different keyboard-layouts, no avail.

In other words: I’m pretty sure it’s a bona fide adobe bug

Is this PC & Mac, anyone ?
