    Yo Cows

Any body got any time saving tips on color correction. I have a stop frame animation and there are descrepencies in the white balance between frames so the white changes from blue tones to yellow, as do the greens. Any body know a quick way to smooth this out ?? . I suppose i could match every still in Photoshop but it will be rather time consuming and i want to get this out the door by end of play today….

    Thanks in advance

    love you

    Chris

There’s a color stabilizer in AE… you might want to check that first.

    Thanks for the response..
I had a go with that but i got very unpredicable results. Maybe there is a trick to using it but it made things worse not better

    Cheers

Effects > Adjust > Curves always worked well for me.

    Good luck.

yes i am sure but each frame has a different white balance … I have hoping to avoid a frame by frame approach.. Can curves solve this problem ????
I don’t see how but i would love it if it can ??

    thanks

I was trying to solve a similar problem where I had large white point and tonal range discrepancies with small DV footage clips. Because I only had 5 or 6 shots to match, I ended up matching individual levels values by hand using the following procedure. Probably it doesn

It mght just be faster to do the frames in one by one in photoshop using adjustment layers: you can just sample the same grey or white every time by one click, using the eye-droppers in the levels or curves window.
A shame After effects doesn’t offer that.

    Thanks for the advice guys..
looks like either way i got my work cut out.
The flicker is good i agree but the changing shadows and and light through the trees do a fine job of this with out the shots chaging hue..

Anyway through chalenges we learn i guess
