There’s no way you can really protect an image on the web. Show your copyright and share.

Those images had some functions disabled, probably with javascript. But I just drag and drop them to my desktop with no problem. So, they are not secured.

Also, you should consider having an alternate HTML content for devices that don’t run Flash. A banner of the same size of your video should do the trick.

Search engines will ignore your video, skipping it until they found readable text. So no SEO problems in my opinion.

But you can place the code of your video down on the page and show it up using CSS, if you want. It’s safer.

Abut the “psychological” opinion, I see no problem in having a video in your first page, but that will depend on the relation of that video to the rest of your content. It’s important to don’t auto-play the video. I’ll avoid an auto-loaded video too. Give the user the chance to decide if they want to see the video or not. A nice explanation of what’s the content will help too.

This is true, unless you are promoting a movie and want the trailer to be shown right away. In general, it’s rude to auto-play any type of multimedia content on a web page.

What I’m saying is that having multiple instances of the same spry asset using the same spry folder can cause you troubles. You should backup and test.

If you are going to place more than a spry menu you should change the default spry folder in the preferences for each instance.

Sending a link for the download in a confirmation email could be a way to go.

You can do this a hundred ways, but a simple one can be return the customer, after the payment, to a page with the link to download your e-book.

Or, automatically send a code or the link by e-mail after payment. You don’t need to do this manually, you can simply ask the user for an e-mail account and auto send the e-mail.

A copy/paste solution? Sorry but I don’t have one. However, there are tons of free scripts on the web, Google for one with the programming language you are using.
