There’s something very funny about my card or the footage format.

I backed up the footage onto my external drive, but the Log and Transfer plugin for my Canon 60D doesn’t recognize it – when I have the card in, it recognizes the card.

    1080p
    ISO was cranked to 6400
Shutter Speed: 125 or one notch above.
    Aperture: 4.

    Thanks for the help.

    Nice – thank you..

How’s the noise on that mic?

I know some are more noisy than others… in capturing raw sound.

    Thanks,

I just realized I had the FCP sequence setting set to 1080 60i!

    Maybe that was the problem..

  • Brent, go here for the 60D log and transfer plugin: https://software.canon-europe.com/software/0039308.asp

Shane, I’m sorry, I’m probably giving you a headache; I know you answered a similar question like this one on one of the last threads I posted.

Chris, my concern is this: the log and transfer plugin for the 60D recognizes the memory card i’m using and it lists all of the clips I am to use – if there is a way for it recognize the card with all the files in it, but then store those files on my external drive then I’ll be good. I’m assuming that’s what “scratch disk” means?

The functionality of the plugin is to format the clips correctly so they’re not H.264 – I wouldn’t want to throw them into an external drive then bring them into FCP because I would lose meta data on those clips, apparently; the plugin keeps all of the information together, so I’m asking if there is a way where to use the plugin first, Log and Transfer into FCP, and then save the clips and such (FCP files) on an external drive.

Thank you very much for your help, to all of you,

RiP Mr. Ramsey… Let it be known that his efforts have not gone to waste, and that there are plenty of young people, like me, following his NLE system lead…

Didn’t know him, but thanks to him, and the rest of his video people, I’ll be able to one day make some money and buy my momma the house she always wanted.

    Thank you,

    Thank you very much!

So, I’m assuming that I shouldn’t assume that Cinema Tools and Twixtor both can give me the slow motion that I want, correct?

I’m certain that it’s Twixtor that’ll give me the slow motion effect that I want for my music videos – I’m still uncertain about what Cinema Tools does besides make FCP accept the different frame rate of 60fps when my other footage in sequence is 1080p/24fps..

Also, what do you think is a better fps to shoot at: 1080p 24fps or 1080p 30fps?

Thank you, sir.. I appreciate your time,

Yes! I think that may be the issue here, because I used iTunes and my iTunes rips songs MP3 last time I checked.

Thank you to all of you; I’ll be sure to check out that workflow soon!..

    Thanks again, and bless you.
