I’m importing footage for a client and the image looks really grainy…

I have my setting(s) set to 1080p 24p, and I’m using HD tapes from Sony.. – I did my manual white balance right, the shutter speed is at about 100.. everything seems right so i don know why I’m not getting a clearer picture. I used a new tape also, just to make sure the footage would come out clean…

Any help would be very appreciated – I did this to the client as a favor and i don’t want them to think I’m a jerk for not getting it right..

I just realized I had the FCP sequence setting set to 1080 60i!

    Maybe that was the problem..

To accurately view your footage, you need a i/o capture device connected to a TV monitor. Computer display is not accurate at judging your quality.
