… just looked around at the bm website – is maybe the setup possible with the intensity productline from bm?
Is Resolve outputting Full frame HDTV 1920×1080 to this device – or does it need a sdi cabable hardware? Thanks so much,

Thanks Tom,
Will go through the regedit again to see if I did everything correct.
Thanks so much for your tipps and your time to answer.

Hy folks – thanks a lot for the tips!
I tried the regedit task – this made sence to me – but it didn´t help. In CPU Usage it´s about 3 to 5 % for my cores all together. No one is making it over this 5%.
I tried to change the power options – to hight performance – still no better result in CPU Usage.
I can understand that the manufacturers of different hardwareparts don`t care about the power consumption of an other device or that the cooling and heat issue nobody of the hardwareproviders cares about.
But I didn´t buy my machine at bestbuy for 400$. I spend in Europe 4750 € for this powerhorse. I bought this machine cause I wanted to eliminate issues like that. When I render in Cinema 4D for example, every CPU goes up to 100% for hours – no issue.
I don´t want to overclock my CPU´s, they are not slow. But Premiere uses them with only 3 to 5%. I`d be happy if premiere would use the CPU power like the other apps like Nuke or Cinema 4D – Full Power, fast – I like it. – but not with premiere – I´m a bit dissapointed.
Is it possible that my hdd is the bottleneck? I don´t had the money to invest in the SSDs.
Does anybody has experience with ssd and the performace with CS6?
By the way, Rendering to RAM Preview in AE – it´s the same – only about 5 to 10 % – and the render (make movie) it´s the same again.
I think I lostt the supersonic speed with CS6.
Sorry that I can´t tell other experiences so far. I can work, the programs don´t crash – that´s fine – and very important as well – but the rendering ist very dissapointing in comparison to other apps.

this makes it clear.
Tried some workaround like saving the working 25fps project as preset and using this for the 24 fps project – the existing 24fps timelines don´t accept the new presets. So it seems that I have to grade the session again – but hey – this gives practice and puts my eye in the future to the correct settings before starting to confirm stuff…
thx for your help

Frustrated from the greyed out “calculate timecode at” option I started with a new project and in the first setup I was free to set everything to 25 fps – the timeline works at 25 fps – the outputoptions are at 25fps as well – seems like everything is fine now – with the new project.
But during the setup the 25 is greyed out in the “calculate timecode at” again. So I think that after a certain setup – you can not change the fps to another framerate?
This would be sad for me, cause I graded my 24 fps project the whole day and this would mean, that I have to do the gradings again with the working project with 25 fps…
Maybe there is an option to change the old project from 24 fps to 25?
This would be great.thx

Ok – sorry for this stupid question – found the clip Attributes by right klickin on the clip in the media tab –
But my timeline is still in 24 fps and the settings in the master project settings are still nailed to

Thanks Chris and Dmitry!
I did the rtfm workflow as suggested – but after some try and error settings I couldn´t figure out the exacte correct settings that the OpenEXR looks exactly like the sequences are interpreted in Nuke and AE.
But I could create a far better startingpoint to grade without pushing the values too crazy. So the banding in the skies aren´t that bad now.Seems like the following settings are working for my project:
In the Master Project Settings the DaVinci Aces Color scinence
In the Look Up Tables Tab the ODT of P3 D60 – and the LUT Cdp.I know – this is just lucky punch style – maybe somenone has a more robust solution for this issue – as OpenEXR is one of the standard formats for Postproduction and Nuke is build araound this format, I wounder if there is a well documentated workflow with this issue.
Thanks for your tips so far – looking foward to great trainings of the new resolve release, but I could find anything so far that I need:)

after trying out the script thing – its much cooler than the beam effect – thanks so much – it`ll save a lot of time.

Haha – I could not resist. Got it workin with the beamer effect and the expression – great – tomorrow I´ll take a look on the script. maybe this is a more elegant way – but for all of us – it´s workin with the beamer effect great – and the stroke moves along with the movement of the machine.
Thanks,
Felix
